Limes & T-Shirts

What a week!

Tuesday…

sucked. I was dubbed the “Worst Intern Ever” when I just didn’t show up to work. I drove into the city to first drop off all the beverages (sodes, juices, etc) at Hammerstein for Friday’s event. Apparently, leaving my hazard lights while my car was illegally standing next to a bus stop and a fire hydrant for twenty minutes wasn’t a good idea, as my car wouldn’t start. Then my phone died. I waited for the tow truck to come and jump me and drove home ::( fail.

Wednesday…

I took off from Pulse so I could dance in Jesse Marco’s upcoming music video, “Daddy Cool.” The video comes out on the 7th of February, but you can listen to the song here.

Thursday…

I danced at an event at Neiman Marcus in Short Hills New Jersey, also missing a day at the office but who’s counting, right? WRONG! To make matters worse, the event t-shirts were supposed to be done, and they weren’t.

Friday…

I wake up at 8:30 AM. Drive to Dunkin Donuts, pick up a box of coffee and a dozen donuts and head over to my t-shirt printer. I leave at 1:30 PM with 75 freshly printed t-shirts and 83 limes, and head over to Hammerstein.

The event was awesome. I was so impressed with how professionally it was orchestrated and how smoothly it ran. It was almost as if there was a feeling of “Yes, this is what we do, this is just another friday” in the ballroom.

Today …

I came in to the office and found out that Friday was Dhare’s birthday, and that JT’s sister went into labor during the show…

I would just like to say how proud I am to be a part of the Pulse team. I thought I did a lot between my responsibilities as a performer and an intern, but I didn’t give up anything for this event to happen.

I’d like to congratulate your family JT, your niece doesn’t know it yet, but she’s incredibly lucky to have the Creative Sensei for an uncle.

Dhare, you’re sitting right behind me, but I’d like to tell you how much respect I have for you right here. Happy birthday man. This event would not have been possible without you, and I wish you the best of everything.
