Creative Exercises ‘aka’ Project Runway

At the end of every week, the Pulse Creative office turns into an episode of Project Runway, but without the eliminations. Every Friday, the “contestants” compete with each other to create the best creative exercises. The competition is full of cattiness and self indulged competitors. Week to week the competition gets thicker, the challenges get harder and only the strong survive. For the past two weeks we have seen the creative geniuses evolve from this being just another Friday to seriously embracing these challenges. Some have spent many late nights completing their projects while others are trying to see what their competitors are doing. Even though we are not at home comfortably watching this from our television set, we can still enjoy all the gossip, drama and behind the scenes stories right here on our blog.

Recap of Week 1: COLOR

The creative team and non-creative team were broken up into groups and all assigned one project to execute. The creative geniuses were assigned to create a digital art piece using a full stream of color. While the non-creative team were assigned to act as their curator and sell their art collection to a client ‘aka’ HBIC.  We were judged on the theme assigned, thought process and pitching. While we saw Bibs have his curator video record his presentation from another office, Sal turned into the non English speaking artist from Mexico and Dharaeza the “artist” fake a death at our feet, the client had a tough decision to make. After much debate, there was a tie between Sal + Jessica and Steve + Sam.

Recap of Week 2: DARKNESS

The creative team and non-creative team were broken up into groups and all assigned one project to execute. The creative geniuses were assigned to create a digital art piece using darkness, ghouls all while using details. While the non-creative team were assigned to act as their curator and sell their art collection to a client ‘aka’ HBIC. We were judged on the theme assigned, thought process and pitching. In week 2, the competition thickened and the judging got harder. After much debate, there was a tie between Dharazea + Criselda and Steve + Rich.

*Each week we will have a running tally and one winner will win a big prize at the end of the year, so feel free to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!!
